- For a person in the adult county jail system, start with jail inmate records and the Merced County inmate inquiry. The roster covers Merced County Sheriff's Main Jail, John Latorraca Correctional Center, and status entries such as Los Banos police holding.
- For booking-photo questions, read jail roster mugshots. The inspected public profile did not display a mugshot field, so the Sheriff's Records Bureau is the request path when a photo is not posted online.
- For charges filed after arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and the Ogletree Jr. Courthouse Criminal Division. Merced Superior Court says criminal case information is not available online.
